President Bola Tinubu has been urged to sack the minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawallen over allegations of corruption while as Governor of the North west state.
call for the sack of the minister was made by Comrade Danesi Momoh,National Coordinator, Civil Society Advocacy Groups For Accountability and Probity at a news conference in Abuja.
Comrade Momoh also reeled out the alleged many Offences of the former Governor including the Zamfara Airport Project that disqualifies him as a minister and called for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC to step in and do the needful.
The Group further expressed worry over the minister’s alleged role in the fight against insecurity in his home state.
They also indicated that allowing the former Governor stay in office will send a negative perception of the president Tinubu disposition to the fight against corruption and other related Offences in the Country.
