NRM Suspends National Chairman Over Financial Impropriety, Others.

The National Rescue Party has suspended it’s National Chairman, Amb Issac Udeh over allegations of breach of standard procedures, financial impropriety and other related Offences.

Also suspended alongside the National Chairman of the NRM, were the Deputy National Chairmen of the Party, North and South.

Announcing their suspension after the National Executive Council meeting of the Party, the NRM deputy Secretary, Obidike Okoro said the decision to suspend the affected party officials was to pave way for further investigations over the allegations against them.

He said the rationale for the action is to enable the party forge ahead after it’s dismay performance at the 2023 elections and commence the process of reconciliation and restructuring.

As expected the suspended NRM Chairman, who was subsequently walked out of the NEC meeting by security operatives was not pleased with the action as he maintained his innocence of the allegations raised against him.

Other resolutions at the NEC meeting includes the endorsement of Dr Chinedu Obi, as National Chairman of the NRM in acting capacity.
