The Nigeria Police Force has paraded two female suspects Joseph Joy and Davies Oreoluwa Favour – for robbery and murder of a prominent Kwara State socialite.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who paraded the suspects among several others, at the STS Headquarters, Abuja, said police operatives on October 6, 2023 apprehended the two suspects, 22 years old Joy and 23 years old Favour, who are both students of Kwara State Polytechnic for their involvement in the robbery and murder of Adeniyi Ojo, the son of Chief Emmanuel Ojo, a prominent figure in Ilorin, Kwara State.
In other related matters, the police spokesman said a total of 54 suspects were arrested by the operatives of DFI-IRT and DFI-STS, some of whom were already facing prosecution in court.
Another notable case is 26 year old Zachariah Adakule who was arrested at Masaka area of Nasarawa State for alleged plan to wi kidnap his former Chinese employer Tian Jiaguang who resides around Area ll, Abuja.
Some of the items recovered from the suspects includes, 92 firearms, 760 live ammunition, 14 exhibit vehicles, 1 forged document, 120 magazines, 2 IEDs, 1 suicide belt, cash sums of fake currencies totaling 970,000 US Dollars among others.
