Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has assured that the November 11th Governorship election in the state will be peaceful,free,fair and credible.
Gov.Bello gave the assurance while addressing participants at the 3rd Annual GYB Seminar for Nigeria’s Political and Crime Correspondents/Editors in Abuja aimed at building the capacity of correspondents and Editors in delivering their job effectively.
He warned political thugs to stay off the state as security agencies are determined to check their activities and bring them to book.
In his welcome remarks, the Commissioner of Information, Kogi state, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo added his voice on efforts by the state government to work with security agencies to ensure the forthcoming Governorship election in the Confluence State is peaceful.
On his part, the President, Nigeria Union of Journalist, Chief Chris Isiguzo emphasized reasons why the participants must at all times adhere to the ethics of the profession while discharging their duties.
The annual training organized by the GYB administration which started in the year 2021, tends to promote democracy in Nigeria via effective media reportage.
