The Federal Executive Council on 3rd of April 2018 approved the establishment of the Nigerian Army University Biu, Borno state. The vision of the institution according to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai is to serve as a center for Excellence in education, research and innovation for human capacity development among others. To drive this agenda, the Army authorities has appointed professor David Malgwi as pioneer Vice Chancellor of the institution.
