Anti-Corruption Day: Why Tinubu Should Intensify War Against Corruption- Cleric

As Nigeria Joins othe African Nations to mark the Anti corruption day, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been urged to speak out against corruption and to take a decisive action towards the prosecution of individuals who unlawful enriched themselves with public funds.

Pastor Otive Igbuzor of the Palace of Priests Assembly and Priests Peace and Justice Initiative made the plea during the church’s commemoration of the 2023 African Anti-Corruption Day in Abuja.

In his sermon, Igbuzor identified greed and indiscipline as part of factors that push people into indulging in corrupt practices.

The African Union on 2016 adopted 11th July every year as African Anti-corruption day The day provides an opportunity to reflect on the challenges of corruption on the African continent and to share good lessons and practices on how to deal with the evil.
