Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has stressed the need for a robust collaboration with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund) for improved education delivery in the state.
Gov.Yuauf who stated this during a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny Echono, solicited for the Funds interventions in Yusuf Maitama Sule University and Kani University of Science and Technology,Wudil.
While commending TETFund for its various infrastructural projects in tertiary institutions across the country, the governor called for more focus in the area of training and retraining of staff as well as flood control for a better education delivery.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary, Arc Sonny Echono who commended the Governor for the visit described Kano as not only the centre of commerce but also that of learning assured of the funds readiness to partner the Kano government for improved education.
Meanwhile, indications from TETFund suggests that the Board of Trustees has put a limit on number of institutions the find can intervene in a state.
