Benue State Governor, Rev.Father Hyacinth Alia is seeking collaboration with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund) for the promotion of Education in the State.
Fr. Alia solicited the cooperation of TetFund when he paid a solidarity visit to the Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono in Abuja.
The Governor who commended Echono for the smooth running of the fund indicated his plans for the state education sector especially as it relates to skills acqusition.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of TetFund, Arc. Sonny Echono in his remarks said efforts to ensure the nations Tertiary Institutions produce industry ready graduates will continue to top the agenda of the FUND.
Echono further informed the Governor of the Finance act 2023 as signed by former president Buhari that increased education tax from 2.5 to 3 percent.
