The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says it has put in place stringent measures to prevent those elected on its platform from defecting to other political parties.
This is as the party defended the alleged romance of its National leader senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and leaders of other political parties saying the former Governor has no plans to leave the party.
Addressing news men in Abuja, the NNPP Publicity Secretary, Agbo Major said the party having thought of such development decided to give tickets to only those who have been within it’s ranks especially from the formative stage.
The NNPP once again congratulated it’s candidate Abba Yusuf and his deputy Aminu Gwarzo as they assume duties as Governor and Deputy Governor of Kano state and urged them to run an open government with the interest of the people at heart.
The party further charge government at all levels to give priority to the security and welfare of the people, with emphasis on reasons why the security agencies inline with their constitutional duties should crush terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other security threats in the country.
