Nigerian Export Promotion Council says a total of two hundred and fourteen products was exported in 2022.
NEPC Executive Director, Ezra Yakusak who disclosed this at the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria, CICAN conference in Abuja said the number of products exported was as a result of value addition and good packaging.
He said proper packaging and value addition are critical instruments toward optimising the value of any product as well as guarantee acceptability in the global market.
Earlier, the Chairman, Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria, Ifeanyi Onuba, expressed optimism that Nigeria’s economy through non-oil exports will grow significantly in light of present economic realities.
The theme of the conference is “The Role of the Non-Oil Sector Towards Economic Diversification, Gross Domestic Product Growth”.
