The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has kicked against calls for Interim Government in the country.
IPAC Chairman Sani Yabagi, who gave the indication at a news conference after the councils emergency general meeting in Abuja described the clamour as raised by the Department of State Security as unacceptable and unconstitutional.
He said the Council rejects any attempt to scuttle, subvert and truncate the nation’s emerging democracy by reactionary and retrogressive forces.
The Council further tasked the DSS to name, arrests and prosecute those involved in the plot.
IPAC however urged all aggrieved political parties, candidates and supporters to seek redress in court for perceived infractions and irregularities in the conduct of the 2023 general election.
