The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament is set to hold a delocalized meeting on energy issues and women’s
empowerment sensitization campaign in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
This was contained in a Media Advisory from the Communications Division of the ECOWAS Parliament and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.
According to the statement, the delocalized meeting scheduled for March 20 to 25 will focus on the theme, “Building the regional energy market for a perfect energy transition.”
The meeting will also feature eight of the Parliament’s fourteen Standing Committees which include, Energy and Mining, Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources, Infrastructure, Industry, Private Sector and Public.
Others are Accounts, Macroeconomic Policy, Economic Administration, Finance, Budget and Health.
Meanwhile, the Association of ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians, ECOFEPA is also in Freetown to deliberate on women’s empowerment issues in the sub-region.
