The Inter party Advisory Council IPAC has thrown it’s weight behind the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to reschedule the Governorship and State Assembly Elections to 18th March 2023.
Addressing Journalists at the end of its Emergency General Assembly in Abuja, IPAC Chairman Engr Yagbaji Sani said the timeframe was to give the commission enough time to put its act together and rewrite the wrongs of the March 11th presidential election.
The IPAC chairman however urged Nigerians to come out en masse and vote for their preferred political parties, and ensure their votes count in the overall results.
The Council further tasked security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities and avert a repeat of violence incidents and other security concerns that played out during the presidential election.
