Obi Vows To Challenge Tinubu’s Victory In Court, Claims Poll Was Rigged

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has vowed to challenge the victory of the President-Elect and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu in court.

He stated this at a news conference in Abuja.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, scored 6,984,520 to emerge second while Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi polled 6,101,533 to come distance third.

Mr. Obi who condemned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for conducting one of the worst elections in the history of Nigeria said he will explore every legal and peaceful option to reclaim his mandate as the winner of the 2023 Presidential Election.

The Labour Party flag-bearer that came third in the just concluded elections while expressing his trust in the integrity of the judiciary said they are ready to prove their case in the court of law.

“I will challenge this rascality for the future of the country.

“If you must be called your excellency, the process that led to your emergence in office must be excellent,” he said.

He noted that there was disparity in the total figure based on the shoddy work done by the electoral umpire.

Mr. Obi however, debunk insinuation that his party was in any alliance with other political party to seek redress in court.

He further urged Nigerians to be calm, responsible and law abiding as they come out en mass to voter for the party in the March 11 Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
