The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 Presidential election.
INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu announced the results early hours of Wednesday.
Tinubu scored 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Atiku Abubakar with 6,984,520 votes.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party had 6,101,533 votes while the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPC Rabiu Kwakwanso scored 1,496,687 votes.
The former Governor of Lagos state will be presented with the certificate of return on Wednesday 1st March 2023.
