Presidential results of three more states have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission as day 2 collation of results continue at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.
The states are Kwara, Osun and Ondo.
The session became tensed when the agent of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Dino Melaye questioned the integrity of Ekiti result saying the process does not conform with provision of the electoral act.
Melaye questioned why already declared results were yet to be uploaded on INEC server. However, the intervention of the INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu saved the day as he insisted the process continue.
Meanwhile, speaking with Journalists after the session was adjourned, Dino Melaye insisted that the right thing be done.
As at the time of filing this report, the collation process is on hold pending the arrival of results from states.
