The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has called on the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba to unravel the mystery behind the attack on its spokesperson Ikenga Ugochinyere at his Ideato country home in Imo state.
Co-Spokesperson of the Coalition, Mark Adebayo made the call at a press briefing in Abuja, where the video footage of the 7th February incident was released to the media.
Adebayo who wondered why those behind the voter register racketeering in the state are been shielded also alleged the involvement of the Imo state Governor and the commissioner of police in the attack on Ugochinyere.
He said Ugochinyere despite the intimidation will not back down on his demand for the right thing to be done.
With the General election billed for next week,the coalition called on both local and international observers to n Identify Ideato as one of the possible flashpoint for violence in Imo state.
