The presidential ambition of former Vice president Atiku Abubakar have received a major boost with the adoption of his candidacy by the Allied peoples’ Movement (APM) for next week general election.
The APM National Chairman Yusuf Dantalle made the announcement after the party’s National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Dantalle said the decision by the party to adopt the former Vice president and his running mate Gov Ifeanyi Okowa was arrived at after several deliberations pointing at their candidacy as the best for Nigeria.
The party was however quick to mention that it will field candidates in other levels of election. The APM chairman further called on Nigerians to vote for the PDP in the presidential election saying the opposition party is big enough to accommodate all and turnaround the destiny of the nation.
