The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, has urged the 7th and last batch of the 2022 pilgrims to pray for the peaceful and successful conduct of the general elections in the country.
Rev Pam who made the appeal while addressing the pilgrims at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja said the pilgrimage exercise is not meant for seeking pleasure but to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria.
The NCPC boss further urged them to be good ambassadors of Christ and avoid any act that could tarnish the image of the country.
In his address, the Director, FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Audu Dabara urged the pilgrims to be orderly and pray fervently for a better nation.
About 300 intending pilgrims from Edo, FCT alongside private sponsored pilgrims departed for the pilgrimage Excercise to Israel and Jordan.
