NEPZA To Start Pioneer Education Free Zones In Uni Abuja – Prof. Adesugba
The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) says plans have been concluded in making University of Abuja the first Education Free Zone Area in the country.
The Managing Director, NEPZA, Professor, Adesoji Adesugba disclosed this in an interactive session with news men in Abuja.
He said Education Free Zones which the Authority is working with Universities across the country to develop will be a game changer in the nation’s education system.
The NEPZA boss who called on State Governors that are yet to buy into the free trade zone schemes to do so said it was the fastest way to develop their states, generate foreign capital as well as technologies.
He added that Free Trade Scheme is a strategic economic development tool to increase investment and promote export-oriented investment in the manufacturing and processing sector.
The Managing Director, NEPZA further clear the on the alleged exclusion of Akwa Ibom state government, from the scheme noting that the authority has no record of the state’s application as it is open for business to all inspite of their political affiliations.
