As Nigeria joins the rest of the World, to commemorates World Cancer Day, the Nigerian Government has launched five brachetherapy machines in five tertiary hospitals across the Country to manage invasive cancer-related illnesses.
Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, who stated this at a news conference in Abuja said, the machines was provided to improve diagnosis, chemotherapy and radiotherapy services in order to improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
Some development partners also spoke on the significance of the World Cancer Day.
The theme for the 2023 World Cancer Day is ” Close the Care Gap”
