Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, a front runner support group, Tinubu Faithful Group, (TFG) campaigning for the emergence of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima has honoured a chieftain of the ruling party, Otunba Adebayo Odunowo as the first Patron of the body.
A statement signed by the National Coordinator, Tinubu Faithful Group, Olusola Orelaja and made available to Channel Network Afrique, (CNA) indicates that Dr. Odunowo was considered for the position based on his antecedents of contributions to the Party, Candidates and Members of the APC in Ogun State.
The statement indicates that TFG National Coordinator, Olusola Orelaja who led a delegation to Imoru, Ijebu home of Odunowo to decorate the new Patron said the move was to acknowledge the great achievements of the new Patron to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC Chieftain, Otunba Adebayo Odunowo in his acceptance speech after being conferred with the title of a Patron of TFG promised to continue to do more as a Leader of the Party in Ogun State adding that he will use his influence to ensure that TFG extends to all the nooks and crannies of the States by ensuring that the group has Branches in the States and the country at large.
“We will work together to make sure Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima win the 2023 Election. He appreciated them for deeming him fit for the post and wished them journey mercy back to their different destinations,” he said.
The TFG delegation that paid the courtesy visit to the APC stalwart include, the National Coordinator, Olusola Orelaja, representative of the Ogun State Coordinator, Bello, Oyo State Secretary, Mr. Kola Inakoju, Ogun State Women Leader, Oluwakemi Adenugba and the National Coordinator, PWDs, Abiodun Abacha.
Others are the National Women Leader, Kikelomo Oyesanya, National PRO, Hon. Folarin Oluwole, National Director, Media and Communication, Deacon Stanley Davies Olunogun and two other National exco, Adekunle Adeboye and Ogunniyi Taiwo.
