As part of it’s Humanitarian gesture and drive to give succour to widows, Orphans and the less privileged in the society, the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) has distributed food items to Nana Berry orphanage home and Families of fallen heroes.
Presenting the Items to the Orphanage home at New Karu, Nasarawa state, the DEPOWA President, Barr Vickie Irabor said the gesture is in accordance with the Association’s mandate to reach out to the less privileged.
Barr Irabor who urged the Children to be obedient to their mothers stated that there is still hope for them.
Earlier before visiting the Orphanage, the DEPOWA President presented food items to Widows in Abuja, lamenting the pain they go through due to the sacrifices made by their husbands for the peace of the country and assured that DEPOWA will continue to support them.
The Founder of Nana Berry Orphanage, Dr Aisha Kwalmi expressed gratitude to the association for their show of love.
Items distributed include bags of rice, beans, garri, groundnut oil, seasoning among others.
