The Nollywood film Industry has endorsed the presidential aspiration of former Lagos State Governor and candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC..Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu.Tinubu alongside the Vice Chairman,South East APC Presidential Campaign Council, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, were also honoured with traditional titles.
Speaking at the 10th Anniversary and 2022 Nollywood New Yam festival and awards in Abuja, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rojas said the event was put together to promote the country’s cultural heritage.
He said the endorsement of the APC candidate was borne out of support extended to the industry over the years.
ceremony attracted important dignitaries from the industry including the former chairman AGN, Abuja chapter, Onwurah Ifeanyi, who in his remarks said the occasion was put together to remind Nollywood stakeholders on the role of culture in redefining the Industry The annual event was spiced up with various performances showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
