The National Population Commission NPC has launched it’s e- recruitment portal to recruit adhoc staff for the 2023 Housing and Population Census.
Chairman of the Commission, Hon Isa Kwarra performed the assignment at an inauguration ceremony held at the NPC headquarters in Abuja.
The NPC boss said the e-recruitment platform is part of the commission’s drive for fairness and transparency in it’s engagement process of personnel for the headcount exercise.
Stating that the bulk of personnel for the 2023 census will be drawn from the communities where they are resident, Kwarra said the gesture is targeted at reducing huge logistics of moving personnel across the country.
The Director General (DG) National Orientation Agency (NOA) Dr. Garba Abari in his remarks, lauded the initiative and assured of the agency support to ensure a credible 2023 census.
Other speakers on their part expressed confidence that the e-recruitment strategy of the Commission will help deliver credible data for Nigeria.
The platform is expected to offer Nigerians opportunity to log into the website that will be provided by the Commission, fill the online form and get themselves registered to be recruited for the census exercise.
