The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Labour Party (LP) will officially flag-off its campaigns on the 29th of October 2022, in Lafia, Nasarawa state of the North Central of Nigeria.
In a signed statement by the LP-PCC, Spokespersons, Dr Yunusa Tankomade available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA indicates that the council shifted the initial flag-off from the 20th of October due to the rampaging flood that affected 33 out of the 36 states of the federation.
According to Tanko, the LP presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi visited affected states to empathise with the states and communities across the country.
He noted that after the visitations, the campaign council of the party deemed it necessary to earnestly start the campaign from the north central geo-political zone of Nigeria.
He further called on all the parties support groups and teeming supporters to make themselves available for a worthwhile campaign for the 2023 general elections.
