The Registrar of the National Examination Council NECO,Prof Ibrahim Wushishi has indicated plans to turn the council into a world-class examination body.
This is as he also restated commitment to policies that would ensure the successful discharge of the council’s responsibilities as enshrined in it’s mandate.
The NECO boss said this after receiving an award Of Integrity Ambassador in Public Service’, by a media organization in Abuja.
Wushishi appreciated the organisation for the award, stressing that the institution would continue to ensure credibility and uphold its standards.
Earlier, the chairman of the ceremony and former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase congratulated the recipients for the award and used the occasion to emphasize reasons why the media should give balanced reportage ahead of the 2023 elections.
Meanwhile, the Editor-in-Chief of the organisation and organiser of the event, Tobs Agbaegbu explained why the NECO boss and other recipients deserved the award.
NECO was also honoured with the ‘Corporate Excellence Award’ by the organisers.
