The Chairman of the National Population Commission NPC,Hon Isa Kwarra has once again assured of efforts by the commission to conduct a world class Population and Housing Census that will be relevant in the drive towards sustainable national development.
The NPC boss gave the commitment while declaring open a ten day information and technology capacity building workshop for it’s ICT personnel in Karu, Nasarawa State.
He said the workshop is expected to acquaint the participants with requisite knowledge to drive the newly created ICT departments in the state offices.
Kwarra further assured Nigerians of continuous reforms in the civil registration and Vital statistics as well as adoption of innovations to drive next year’s head count exercise.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the federal commissioner Adamawa state and chairman ICT committee in the commission, Dr Clifford Zirra highlighted decisions that informed the workshop.
72 participants drawn from across the NPC state offices and the federal capital territory are attending the ten day workshop.
