21 suspects have been paraded by the Nigeria Police on offences bordering on Criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, armed robbery, unlawful possession of fire arms, cultism among others.
Parading the suspects in Abuja, Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said, they were arrested by members of the Force Intelligent Bureau, Intelligent Respond Team (FIB-IRT) of the Nigeria Police in different parts of the Country.
Notable among the cases, is 27 year old Abdulrazak Isa, an escapee from the Kuje correctional center in the 5th July attack on the facility. Also, a 4 man gang headed by Hashimu Galadima, from Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State, were paraded.
According to Police investigations, the gang which ply their trade in Bauchi State confessed to the murder of one Hon Musa Mante a serving member of Bauchi State house of Assembly in 2020.
Emphasizing the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to deal with criminal elements and their sponsors across the country, the Force Public Relations Officer, called for the cooperation of the public especially as it relates to intelligence gathering.
Items recovered from the gangs includes 10 AK rifles, 1 G3 rifle, 8 pump action guns, 3 locally made pistols, 3 English double-barrelled guns, 633 rounds of live ammunition of different calibres, 8 expended cartridges, and one cutlass.
