As the 2023 general election draws near, a non governmental organization Connected Development (CODE) has assured of plans to deploy young Nigerians as observers across the Country.
The Chief Executive Officer, CODE, Hamza Lawal stated this when a delegation from the All Progressive Congress, Youths Student Council paid him a sensitization visit in Abuja.
He said the commitment of CODE in deploying election observers is to ensure a free, fair and credible electioneering Process as well as give room for the youths to contribute to Nation building.
Lawal who however noted that his organisation is non partisan stated that 2023 election will not be decided by a political party but by the conviction of Nigerians on a candidate that will deliver. He also urged Nigerians, particularly the youths who make up to 50% of the voting population to eschew all forms of violence and participate fully in next year’s election.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General, APC Youths student council, Oyirimba Ezenwa who solicited the support of CODE ahead of the 2023 general elections express optimism that the party’s presidential candidate will address nations enormous challenges.
The delegation also used the platform to sell the potentials of the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and called for his adoption as youths concensus candidate.
