Christian Youths have continued to express their reservation over the decision of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC to field a Muslim Muslim ticket for the 2023 general elections
. The Youths under the auspices of Youth Wing Christian Association of Nigeria, North Central Zone condemned the development which they said is not healthy for the highly diversified Nigerian space
. Speaking at a press briefing at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, the YOWICAN Chairman North Central Owoyemi Alfred, described the decision of the rulling party as unpopular saying it insults the sensitivity of Nigerians.
Other speakers in their remarks questioned the motive behind the same religion ticket controversy.
The APC presidential candidate, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu however seems not bothered by these criticisms as he is expected to present his running mate and former Governor of Borno state, Senator Kashim Shettima to the party leadership on Wednesday 19th July 2022.
