Northern Christian and Muslim Cerics have thrown their weight behind the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission NCPC to emerge as running mate to Ashiwa Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress,APC In the forthcoming Presidential Polls.
The clerics at a one day roundtable discussion in Abuja advocated the need for harmonious and balanced ticket for the ruling Party.
Bishop Sunday Garba who spoke on behalf of the Christian clerics at the meeting said the outcome of the APC primaries has brought to the fore reasons why the ruling party should ensure a balanced presidential ticket that would guarantee it’s victory at next year’s general election.
The group further indicated the reasons for initiating the assembly including modalities that should be considered in selecting the APC vice presidential candidate The APC is presently engaging in talks and negotiations on who will fly it’s ticket alongside it’s presidential candidate Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general elections.
