The Federal Government has released the results of the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination. Sixty eight thousand six hundred and thirty eight pupils in Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo sat for the examination on Saturday 7th May,2022. At a ceremony held in Abuja, Education Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu restated the ministry’s commitment to ensure all admission processes are completed before Friday 1st July, 2022.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, David Adejo, the minister however indicated need for compliance with the admission criteria for selection of qualified candidates into the federal unity colleges. Earlier,the Registrar of the National Examination Council, NECO Prof Ibrahim Wushishi in his remarks highlighted some of the key features of the examination especially as it relates to female performance. While Ajidagba Mariam Akanke, from sokoto state had the highest score of 201,fifteen other candidates from various States scored 1 mark.
