As Part of Efforts to curb the Menace between Famers and Herders in the Country, the Miyatti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-cultural Association advised the federal government on need to re-Introduce Grazing Reserves.
Presenting a Communique at the end of a two-day Interactive Policy Dialogue in Abuja, the national Secretary of the association, Saleh Alhassan, debunk claims that the consistent conflicts between farmers and herders are largely responsible for the state of insecurity in Nigeria.
He advocated reasons for aggressive advocacy on the Challenges confronting Fulani Pastoralists across Africa with a view to addressing the Issues holistically.
The place of Nomadic education as it relates to the need for government at all levels to equip the pasturists with adequate skills and information was also emphasized by respective speakers at the dialogue.
The meeting further suggest relevant legislation that will encourage private sector investment in livestock production.
