Breaking: Court Declares Isiaka Adeleke Winner Of Osun Governorship Election

The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has declared candidate of the People’s Democratic Party and senator Isiaka Adeleke as the winner of the 22 September state governorship election. Senator Adeleke in the. Petition accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, the All Progressive Congress and its candidate, governor Gboyega Oyetola, of gross electoral malpractices ranging from mass rigging, alteration of election figures, voter intimidation and so on. Adeleke also asked that he be declared winner by the tribunal since he polled the highest lawful votes. The tribunal, which comprised of a three-man. panel, with Ibrahim Sirajo as the lead, dismissed the objections of the APC and upheld the petition of the complainant.
