Prof Chris Imumolen has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Accord Party for the 2023 general elections. Imumolen emerged through a voice vote process after his sole challenger Moses Esenyi withdrew from the race before the commencement of the special convention in Abuja.
The academician in his acceptance remarks commended the process that led to his emergence and solicited the support of Nigerians in steering the nation to greater heights.
Condemning what he termed as seven years misrule of the present administration, Prof Imumolen promised to initiate policies that will change the ugly narrative.
National Chairman of Accord Party, Mohammed Nalado in his welcome remarks tasked the youth population to be more involved in politics as the expected change in the 2023 elections can only be realized with their support and participation in the electoral process.
Over 300 delegates from across the country graced the special convention.
