Former National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Chekwas Okorie has emerge as the Party’s presidential flag bearer.
Okorie contested for the APGA presidential ticket at its Special National Convention and Presidential Primary Election held in Abuja, alongside Chief Henry Okwuchukwu, while three other aspirants stepped down before the contest.
Chief Okorie secured the party’s Presidential ticket by 471 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Okorie who commended the process expressed optimism of emerging as president in 2023.
Earlier in his remarks, the APGA National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku who congratulated the party’s flag bearer said Nigerians must all come together and collectively change the narratives.
The National Convention was attended by party leaders and members drawn from across the country.
