Former Governor of Zamfara state and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress APC, Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima has kicked against any form of Zoning arrangement ahead of the 2023 general elections saying it is alien to the 1999 constitution.
Senator Yerima who made this known in a media chat at his campaign office in Abuja said the option of eligibility should be the yardstick for selection of candidates for election. He however promised to abide by whatever decision arrived at by the party leadership including Concensus arrangement ahead of the 6th June presidential primary.
Senator Yerima further raised concerns at the manner aspirants lobby delegates ahead of the APC presidential primary, saying the decision to run for the office of the president was borne out of the need to serve.
He assured of the right qualities to address challenges bedeviling the nation including insecurity and the economy if elected as president.
