World Health Assembly: Nigeria Committed To Attainment Of Universal Health Coverage- Ehinare
The Federal Government has reiterated it’s commitment to achieving Universal Health Coverage in the Country.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire made this known during his presentation at the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Minister in a signed statement by Chindaya A, Deputy Director Media and Public Relations, Federal Ministry Of Health said the move is aimed at strengthening health security and delivery to achieve the Mellinum Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
According to him, this is the first physical Assembly since the start of the dreaded covid 19 pandemic which invariable marked the new confidence in us and to resume our work fully after learning vital lessons.
He said the government is taking the initiative inview of the strong role vibrant primary Health care system play in achieving objectives of the public Health security.
The World Health Assembly is the highest Health body of experts and professionals charge with the responsibility of policy formulation, decisions, and advice on Health related matters for Humanity.
The theme of the conference is Health for peace and peace for Health”.
