As part of it’s commitment to ensure lasting peace in Nigeria and Africa, the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP)has endorsed 60 Ambassadors for peace.
At the 2021/2022 graduation ceremony of the COFP Fellowship in Abuja, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, President of the Foundation applauded the process that led to the emergence of the 4th set of graduates, saying the gesture is a milestone in putting another group of workers in in the noble task of building peace in Africa at large.
The retired catholic cleric further urged the graduates to be true ambassadors of the interreligious dialogue, conflict transformation and mediation
On her part, the Executive Director of COFP, Sister Agatha Chikelue, expressed hope that the foundation will continue to engage faith leaders and community actors on efforts to build inclusive societies across the continent .
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the graduating students and other entertainment.
