Over 9000 candidates wrote the batch A Teachers Professional Qualifying Examination across the country. The examination was however rescheduled in sokoto and Zamfara states due to security concerns.
TRCN’s Acting Director of Certification and Licensing, Dr Jacenta Ogboso, who disclosed this in Abuja while supervising the examination at SALSCON International School on Saturday, however indicated that the 276 candidates in the two affected states will get opportunity to write the PQE as soon as the security situation improves.
She commended the smooth conduct of the examination across the country affirming the commitment of the council to ensure a hitch free process. Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. David Adejo, who also monitored the exercise at SALSCON International School, called on teachers yet to write the examination to take advantage of the next module and do the needful.
The Teachers Professional Qualifying Examination is a federal government initiative to rid quacks from the teaching Profession.
