The early morning Nigerian Export Promotion Council’s “Export for Survival” walk, aimed at sensitising as well as create bond and synergy among the staff and relevant stakeholders.
The second edition of the programme, witnessed representatives from the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Shippers Council, Nollywood among others.
Addressing news men, the NEPC, Executive Director, Ezra Yakusak said the Federal Executive Council has approved additional grant for over 285 exporters to boost government’s efforts on Non-oil driven revenue.
The NEPC boss also identified some major challenges in the non-oil export sector which include packaging, logistics constraints and market access.
Representatives of Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and line agencies also spoke on the importance of diversification of the nation’s economy.
The NEPC Export For Survival walk came to a climax with the participants involving in light exercise and aerobic.
