Stakeholders Urge African Universities To Deepen Digital Education.
African universities have been challenged to embrace and deepen digital education towards achieving it’s desired impact.
Dr. Olivier Kuttel, the Head of International Affairs of École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL, Switzerland, gave the charge while delivering a keynote address at the 2022 African Centres of Excellence, ACE, Regional Conference in Abuja.
Kuttel who acknowledged the impact of Covid 19 at driving digital transformation ,urged universities in the continent to embrace online teaching saying it is the way to go.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Prof Abubakar Rasheed,indicated the decision that inspired the commission to rethink its approach to adopt sustainable Integration of digital education in Nigeria.
Other speakers including the ministers of Education, Communications and Digital Economy also reacted on the impact of digital education on the country.
The theme of the conference is: Sustainable Integration of Digital Education in the Post Covid-19 Era.
