Plans to commence the 2022 Personal Audit of all basic education institutions in the country is underway.
The Executive Secretary Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr Hamid Bobboyi gave the indication at a high level consultative meeting in Abuja.
He said the exercise will enable the Commission collect accurate data on school enrolment, number of teachers and other personnel in the system as well as facilities for proper planning purposes.
Stressing that the commission last conducted the audit exercise in 2018, Bobboyi expressed hope of regular update of the database to build a culture of data generation and management down to the school level.
The success of the propose exercise the UBEC boss added will enable Nigeria boast of a credible basic school data that can be quoted and used with confidence all over the world.
