Nigerian Immigration Joins Force With Bayelsa Gov’t To Attractive FDIs

The Bayelsa State Government is partnering with the Nigerian Immigration Services in the area of investment drive in order to attract more Foreign Direct Investments into the statement 
This was contained in statement signed by the Command, Public Relations Officer,  Ibeinmo-Cookey Ebitimitula and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.

The statement indicated that the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri while receiving the Comptroller of Bayelsa State Command, CIS James Sunday during a courtesy visit to the government house, urged the service to ensure that the investors are investigated to be credible and genuine.


The Governor said NIS has a prime role to play in encouraging the visitors to see Bayelsa as the most preferred destination for investors.

Earlier, the Comptroller of Immigration Service Bayelsa State Command James Sunday stated that purpose of the courtesy call is to consolidate on the various inter agency collaboration that has brought relative peace to Bayelsa State as well as create enabling Business Environment.

This according to him was through the Issuance of relevant entry and departure passes, offshore monitoring of activities of crews and their passengers berthing on the Nigeria’s blue border on International waterways and inland waterways of Bayelsa as well as those on land in the employment of companies, organisations and Hotel inspections and monitoring within the state capital and its environs among others.

He however appreciated the Gov. Diri and his government for the tremendous supports to the Nigeria Immigration Service.
