TETFund, Pan African University To Partner On African Union Agenda.

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund) has indicated Plans to partner with the Pan African University to push forward the agenda of the African Union.

TETFUND Executive Secretary, Architect Sunny Echono gave the indication while playing host to a delegation of the African Union Commission for Education led by the commissioner of Education, Prof Mohammed Belhocine.

He said the federal government inline with one of the key aspiration of the Pan African University is at the process of establishing a national institute in Abuja with focus to drive its Technology and Innovation Agenda.

Echono further assured the delegation of the Funds support to construct more classrooms and procurement of laboratory equipment for the Pan African University at the University of Ibadan.

Meanwhile, Prof Mohammed Belhocine in his remarks commended TETFUND for the support extended to the University over the years while also soliciting for new areas of Intervention.

The ECOWAS delegation said the Education Commission presently operates four institutes in Nigeria, West Africa, Kenya, East Africa, Algeria North Africa and Yaounde, Cameroon Central Africa where over 1,500 masters degree holders including 400 PhDs from 50 nationalities have been trained in different areas of focus.
