The Peoples Democratic Party zoning committee chaired by the Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has concluded its meeting in Abuja without disclosing the zone that will produce the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.
Ortom who briefed journalists shortly after the meeting said the 37-member committee has unanimously adopted a position that will be sent to the NEC of the Party.
However, there are indications of unconfirmed report that the committee has resolved to throw open the Presidential contest among the six geopolitical zones of the country.
PDP Zoning Committee The committee was inaugurated by the National Chairman of the party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, with a charge to look into the turbulent issue of zoning of the Presidency.
