The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has officially announced the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, results.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that the board withheld the results of 39,834 candidates out of the over 1.9 million applicants that sat for the exam.
He said 96 candidates results were withheld over exam malpractices, a decrease from 123 in the previous year.
Prof Oloyede further listed some Infractions recorded during the examination to include double registration, and attempted substitution of self by candidates among others.
The JAMB boss further clarified on the issue of under age registration.
The 2025 UTME recorded 71,705 cases of absenteeism from the 1,957,000 candidates verified to sit for the examination.
