2025 Pilgrimage: NCPC Boss Inspects Pilgrims’ Aircraft in Turkey Ahead of Airlift
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has carried out a physical inspection of the aircraft designated for the airlift of Nigerian Christian pilgrims in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of the delayed 2025 Easter Pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan.
Bishop Adegbite was warmly received by the Executive Director of Atlasjet, Mr. Serkan Yazicioglu, whose airline has been approved by NCPC as the official carrier for this year’s pilgrimage exercise.
According to a statement signed by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations at NCPC, the Executive Secretary emphasized that due process and adherence to standards remain central to the Commission’s operations.
“The physical inspection of the pilgrims’ aircraft is necessary to ensure it meets the specifications outlined in our contractual agreement with the air carrier,” Adegbite said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering on the Commission’s corporate philosophy of “Service and Satisfaction,” adding that the inspection results were satisfactory and that the aircraft is fit to safely and comfortably airlift Nigerian pilgrims.
Bishop Adegbite also commended Atlasjet for its professionalism and dedication, noting the Commission’s appreciation for the airline’s partnership.
Earlier, Atlasjet’s Executive Director, Mr. Serkan Yazicioglu, assured the NCPC leadership of seamless and safe operations throughout the pilgrimage. He revealed that the aircraft inspected is an Airbus with a 350 passenger seating capacity, equipped with modern in flight facilities.
Yazicioglu further confirmed that the aircraft would be deployed to Nigeria before September 14, in readiness for the inaugural flight of the 2025 Easter Pilgrimage
