As 2023 general election draws closer, the aspiration of the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello of becoming the next president of Nigeria has continued to gather more support as over 1000 civil society organizations and academics from different institutions have thrown their weight behind the governor.
The Bello supporters who converged on Abuja for an event tagged “A-One Day Intellectual Discourse on the Future of Nigeria” recommended the developmental model of the Kogi state Governor, as one that has the possibility of changing the situation of things in Nigeria.
Speaker after speaker agreed to the assertion that governor Yahaya Bello’s administration has changed the narrative of governance in Kogi State.
They expressed reservation on the state of affairs in Nigeria saying that 2023 presents the opportunity to satisfy the burning desire of getting the right leadership for the country.
The civil groups expressed optimism that Governor Bello’s chances at the presidency are bright since according to them he has demonstrated enough capacity, competence, technical know- how in governance.
